Buffalo-based fusion rock/jam quintet eberwine (sic) is the brainchild of frontman and guitarist Todd Eberwine (Dive House Union, Soul Roach, Todd Eberwine Band). Known for innovative jams, soulful lyrics, and high-energy shows, the five-piece pulls musicians from the Buffalo music scene into a Western New York supergroup featuring , Aaron Ziolkowski (Little Mountain Band), Scott Molloy (Lazlo Hollyfeld, BEU) Ben Carke (Alison Pipitone Band, Black Rock Zydeco), and Jim Doersam (Into the Now, Little Mountain Band, Jimmy D Band).
On their 2022 full length album release Jeff Miers of the Buffalo News noted “eberwine has said that this new group isn’t a jam band, but rather, ‘it’s a rock band that jams,’ and that’s a valid distinction. One Vision is an album built on a foundation of strong songs that could stand on their own without improv sections. But when those songs open up into intelligent and intuitive band interplay movements, graced by tastefully virtuosic soloing, something truly magical happens.”
As a solo player, Todd has shared the stage with Derek Trucks, Devon Allman, Doyle Bramhall, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Johnny Lang, the Tea Party, Los Lobos, Sharon Jones, Leon Russell, and Gary Clark, Jr.
Members of eberwine have opened in support of Gregg Allman, Jefferson Starship, Blind Melon, Canned Heat, Tim Reynolds, Lotus, Dopapod, Aqueous, Papadosio, Gord Downie, Donna the Buffalo,Court Yard Hounds and Willie Nile, among others.
The band is slated to release new music this spring including the first single “Shine a Little Light” featuring Todd’s daughter Lyra Eberwine on backing vocals.
